One 8.68g tablet from the Aquatabs 8.68g Tub can purify a container of 5,000 litres of clear water, 2,500 litres of turbid water, and 1,000 litres of water in emergency relief situations. The Aquatabs 8.68g Tub contains 10, or 60 tablets that are great to disinfect water containers where the water will be completely used before refilling from a suspect water source. These include large water tankers transporting water to water-scarce communities as well as large Jojo tanks. The residual chlorine left in the empty containers helps prevent recontamination of the water tanks should safe drinking water be placed into the tank.

How to use:
Determine the volume of water that needs treating:
1) For water tanks that store rain or borehole water:
2500 litre tanks = 1 tablet
5000 litre tanks = 2 tablets
2) For water tanks that store treated municipal water:
2500 litre tanks = half a tablet
5000 litre tanks = 1 tablet
(Tablets can be broken in half as needed for other sized tanks. Also see features section above in case emergency dosage is needed.)
Wait 30 minutes – Once the Aquatabs are in your tank just wait 30 minutes for them to completely dissolve.
Drink! – After 30 minutes your water is good to drink!
Dosage intervals – Dose once every 7 days if in a closed tank (lid) or once every 2-3 days if in an open tank, or if the water is constantly used.
