Chitosan Haemostatic Z-fold Gauze
Chitosan Haemostatic Gauze works independently of the body’s clotting mechanism. Users apply the gauze directly on to the bleeding source and hold pressure for three minutes to stop bleeding from arterial injuries, gunshot wounds, road traffic accidents and other moderate to severe bleeding injuries.
These blood clotting products have very high surface area chitosan flakes. When they come into contact with blood, the gauze swells, gels, and sticks together to make a gel like plug. This special haemostatic blood clotting agent does not set off the normal clotting cascade, it only clots the blood that it comes directly into contact with.
