Ka-Bar Knife With Sheath
The legendary Ka-bar Knife With Sheath is a 1217 USMC fighting and utility Knife of the best quality.
Shortly after the start of WWII, KA-BAR began working with the Marines Quartermaster to design a fighting knife for the United States Marine Corps. Soon, the production was underway on the fighting /utility knife that would make the KA-BAR name legendary.
Legend has it that the name KA-BAR dates back to the 1900’s, from a fur trapper testimonial. The Fur Trapper wrote that whilst out trapping, his gun jammed, leaving only with his knife to kill a wounded bear that was attacking him.
He thanked the company for making the quality knife that helped him kill a bear, but all that was legible as a name on the letter was “K a bar”.
Honoured by this testimonial the company adopted the phrase KA-BAR as their trademark.
